Problems with love contracts can be minimized if they include: â⬠¢ A reference to or recitation of the companyââ¬â¢s sexual harassment policy and an acknowledgment that the employees are familiar with the policy. â⬠¢ An affirmation that the relationship is consensual and freely entered into, and that each employee agrees to waive the right to assert a claim for sexual harassment for any conduct by the other prior to theâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦To ensure that social relationships do not adversely affect the workplace, employees who enter into such relationships must comply with the following: â⬠¢ Notify the Human Resource Director of the relationship; â⬠¢ Review the Companys policy prohibiting Sexual Harassment; â⬠¢ Sign the Companys Consensual Relationship Agreement; â⬠¢ Agree to possible reassignment if the social relationship involves a subordinate employee; â⬠¢ Behave professionally at all times - avoiding indiscreet behavior while at the workplace or while on Company time or business including refraining from public displays of sexual affection, sexual innuendo, suggestive comments and sexually oriented joking; â⬠¢ Agree to confidential counseling by the Companyââ¬â¢s Employee Assistance Program regarding the issues surrounding workplace dating; and â⬠¢ Notify the Human Resource Director should the social relationship terminate. Employees found in violation of this policy will be subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.
